Job Overview
The Events, Catering & Guest Relations Manager at One White Street plays a key role in shaping and enhancing the guest experience. This individual will drive event and catering sales, coordinate seamless execution of all private events and catering orders, and manage reservations. This position blends sales strategy, guest outreach, team leadership, and operational excellence to create memorable hospitality experiences and contribute to overall growth.
Key Responsibilities
Event Sales & Execution
- Drive event sales with a goal to exceed previous years’ performance.
- Streamline booking and execution processes, ensuring clear cross-department communication.
- Respond promptly and professionally to all event inquiries.
- Collaborate with culinary and service teams to create tailored, high-impact events.
Catering Sales & Execution
- Drive catering sales through proactive outreach and client relationship management.
- Ensure seamless coordination and execution of catering orders.
- Collaborate with FOH and culinary teams to meet and exceed client expectations.
- Collect and utilize post-event client feedback to improve offerings.
Guest Relations
- Develop innovative strategies for guest engagement across events, catering, and reservations.
- Cultivate relationships with repeat guests, corporate clients, and planners.
- Identify and act on opportunities to improve guest satisfaction and loyalty.
- Respond to all guest reviews in a timely, professional manner and share feedback with relevant teams.
Reservations Management
- Maintain strong oversight of the reservations book to optimize revenue and flow.
- Work with the host team to ensure smooth arrivals and guest experiences.
- Analyze reservation trends to drive strategic improvements.
- Confirm guest logistics (count, timing, dietary needs, special requests) accurately and in a timely manner.
- Generate daily reports for internal briefings and guest research.
- Ensure all reservations are accurately entered and updated in the booking system.
Team Leadership
- Train and mentor team members to ensure consistent, high-quality guest service.
- Create and maintain systems that support consistency across all guest touchpoints.
- Actively participate in weekly management meetings and collaborate with other leaders.
Operational Excellence
- Align with the Director of Operations on service standards and revenue targets.
- Oversee flawless execution of all events—from planning to breakdown.
- Develop systems to track event success, guest feedback, and areas for improvement.
- Manage all catering and event inquiries across communication channels.
- Coordinate and update menus for both catering and One White Street.

- Proficiency with Google Docs, Microsoft Office, TripleSeat, Resy, and Toast.

- Deep understanding of hospitality, event logistics, and catering operations.
- Highly organized with sharp attention to detail and ability to prioritize.
