Job Description

Position: Registered Nurse (RN) – Wound Care

Location: Brooklyn, NY 11206

Job Type: Contract

Contract: 14 weeks with strong possibility of extension

Schedule: 7.5 hours/day | 5 days/week

Guaranteed hours per week: 37.50

Pay Range: $3000 to $3500

Job Summary

Pride Health is seeking an experienced Wound Care Registered Nurse (RN) for a contract opportunity in Brooklyn, NY. The RN will specialize in wound, ostomy, and continence care, providing comprehensive patient assessments, developing treatment plans, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality care.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive wound, ostomy, and continence assessments

• Perform focused physical assessments and develop individualized care plans

• Recommend appropriate treatments, therapies, and medications

• Monitor and document patient responses to wound care treatments

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for optimal patient outcomes

• Provide patient and family education on wound care and prevention strategies

• Develop and deliver staff education and training programs

• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical evaluations

• Implement preventative measures for pressure injuries

• Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to compliance standards

• Assist with equipment management (e.g., specialty beds, negative pressure devices)

• Identify community resources and support patient care coordination

Requirements

• Active New York RN License

• BLS Certification (AHA) required

• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg nursing experience

• Experience in wound care and colostomy care

• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
