Job Description

: The Warehouse Team Member at Curtis Restaurant Equipment plays a vital role in ensuring efficient warehouse operations. This position reports to the Warehouse Supervisor and is responsible for receiving products, stocking items in the appropriate bin locations, and fulfilling orders accurately. The Warehouse Team Member also handles packaging and shipping tasks with great attention to detail. Additionally, this role assists with deliveries of smallwares, disposables, and equipment. A clean driving record is required to maintain this position.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Product Receiving: Receive products into the system, verifying accuracy and quality of received items. Inspect shipments for damages and report any discrepancies to the Warehouse Supervisor.
  2. Stocking and Organization: Properly place products in designated bin locations or project areas, ensuring accurate inventory management and easy retrieval of items.
  3. Order Fulfillment: Pull products from inventory accurately based on submitted orders, double-checking quantities and item correctness to ensure order accuracy.
  4. Packaging and Shipping: Package products securely and appropriately for shipping, paying close attention to packaging guidelines and labeling requirements. Prepare shipping documents and arrange transportation with the designated carriers.
  5. Deliveries: Assist with deliveries of smallwares, disposables, small equipment and heavy equipment, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries to customers.
  6. Inventory Control: Assist with regular inventory counts and cycle counts to maintain accurate stock levels and minimize discrepancies.
  7. Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks on warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, to ensure their safe and optimal operation. Report any equipment issues to the Warehouse Supervisor.
  8. Clean Driving Record: Maintain a clean driving record to carry out local delivery duties and operate company vehicles safely and responsibly.
  9. Safety and Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols, including proper handling of products, use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and compliance with company policies and regulations.
  10. Collaboration and Teamwork: Work collaboratively with the Warehouse Supervisor and other team members to achieve operational goals and provide excellent customer service.
  11. Tool Use: must have a comfort level with tools to assist with assembly of equipment and preparation for delivery. .

Requirements & Skills:

  • Prior experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is preferred.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy in receiving, stocking, and order fulfillment processes.
  • Ability to operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks (training can be provided if necessary).
  • Strong organizational skills to effectively manage inventory and locate products in the warehouse.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • Clean driving record to perform local delivery duties.
  • Basic computer literacy to navigate the inventory management system and other software applications.
  • Physical fitness and ability to lift heavy objects and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Adherence to safety guidelines and commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
