Worthwhile Strategies is excited to partner with Crossroads Church as they search for their next Student Pastor.

CORE FOCUS
Student Discipleship
Lead students toward becoming fully devoted followers of Jesus through biblical teaching,
relational discipleship, and intentional spiritual formation.

Volunteer Development
Recruit, equip, and empower adult leaders and student leaders who can disciple students
and multiply ministry impact.

Family Partnership
Come alongside parents and caregivers by providing encouragement, resources, and
opportunities to participate in their student’s spiritual development.

Ministry Experiences & Outreach
Create engaging environments, events, and outreach opportunities that connect students
to Christ, community, and mission.

Leadership & Ministry Operations
Provide strategic leadership, systems, and organizational oversight that ensure ministry
effectiveness, alignment, and long-term health.

WEEKLY FUNCTIONS
Student Discipleship & Care

• Prepare and teach biblically sound and engaging messages
• Develop discipleship pathways for students to grow in their faith
• Provide pastoral care and biblical guidance tostudents and families
• Build relationships with students through intentional presence and availability
• Identify and invest in students demonstrating leadership potential

Volunteer Leadership & Development

• Recruit, train, and develop adult leaders and student leaders
• Conduct regular communication and follow-up with volunteers
• Create systems that help leaders effectively disciple students
• Provide coaching, encouragement, and appreciation to volunteer teams
• Ensure leaders understand vision, expectations, and ministry philosophy

Family Engagement & Communication

• Build relationships with parents and caregivers
• Provide clear communication regarding ministry opportunities and events
• Equip families with resources that encourage discipleship at home
• Partner with parents during key moments of spiritual growth and life transition
• Maintain a visible and approachable presence among families

Events & Ministry Experiences

• Plan and execute weekly programming and special events
• Oversee camps, retreats, mission opportunities, and outreach initiatives
• Create welcoming environments that invite students from all backgrounds
• Coordinate logistics, volunteers, and resources necessary for ministry experiences
• Evaluate ministry effectiveness and identify opportunities for improvement

Leadership & Ministry Operations

• Lead strategic planning and goal setting for student ministry
• Manage budgets and steward ministry resources responsibly
• Develop ministry systems and processes that promote effectiveness and sustainability
• Collaborate with church staff and ministry leaders to advance church-wide vision
• Monitor attendance, engagement, and ministry health metrics
• Participate in staff meetings, leadership initiatives, and team development opportunities

REQUIREMENTS
Evident and growing relationship with Jesus Christ

Clear calling to vocational student ministry

Agreement with the beliefs, mission, and vision of Crossroads Baptist Church

Bachelor’s degree in Theology, Biblical Studies, Student Ministry, or related field preferred

Seminary training beneficial but not required

Minimum of 3-5 years of student ministry experience

Demonstrated experience leading volunteers and developing leaders

Proven ability to communicate biblical truth to students of varying spiritual maturity

Strong organizational, leadership, and relational skills

Experience planning and executing student ministry events and discipleship initiatives

Applicants will only be considered for this position with a minimum of 3 years working in Student Ministry and extensive experience recruiting and retaining volunteers OR experience working in a megachurch ecosystem.
