Private Family in Rye, NY Seeking a Spanish-Speaking Live-In Nanny

Position: Live-In Nanny
Location: Rye, NY
Schedule: Monday - Friday. Split schedule starting at 6:30 AM, with a substantial break during the day and resuming around 3:30 PM. Day typically ends between 7:00–8:00 PM. Two weekends per month are required, and you can take off during the week. Summers are generally two weeks on/two weeks off while traveling domestically with the family.
Salary: $1500 - $2100/week
Start Date: ASAP
Benefits: 2 weeks PTO
Live-In Accommodations: Private bedroom in the family home with a bathroom shared with another nanny. Must return home during weekends and days off.
Travel: Domestic and international travel required

About the Family

A busy, fully staffed family in Rye, NY is seeking an experienced, energetic, and polished Live-In Nanny to join their household team. The family has three children, ages 7.5, 6, and 4, as well as a hypoallergenic Labradoodle.

The family lives in a 7,000-square-foot home and employs three full-time live-out housekeepers, additional nannies, and weekend nanny coverage. The nannies rotate schedules, so the ideal candidate must be a team player who works well alongside other household staff.

The entire household staff speaks Spanish, so fluency in both English and Spanish is required.

Responsibilities

• Start the morning at 6:30 AM, getting the children up and ready for school
• Prepare breakfast and pack school lunches
• Help get the children organized and out the door; Mom typically handles school drop-off
• Clean up after breakfast and keep the children's areas organized
• Occasionally bake muffins, cupcakes, or other treats for the children
• Enjoy a break during the middle of the day before resuming around 3:30 PM
• Occasionally assist with school pick-up as needed
• Drive the children to after-school activities using the family vehicle
• Help with afternoon and evening routines, including baths and bedtime
• Help clean up after dinner; the housekeeper prepares dinner
• Assist with Saturday morning soccer practices
• Work two weekends per month as part of the nanny rotation, with weekdays off during those weeks
• Plan fun, engaging, age-appropriate activities for the children
• Travel domestically and internationally with the family

Travel

The family travels frequently, and the nanny must be comfortable accompanying them for extended periods. Upcoming travel includes approximately 10 days in October, 10 days over Thanksgiving, and three weeks over Christmas and New Year's. International travel includes Europe, so candidates must have a valid passport.

During the summer, the family travels domestically and the nanny will generally work a two-weeks-on/two-weeks-off schedule.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Professional nanny experience

• Valid driver's license and confident driver; family vehicle provided
