Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Technician for our client in the Minneapolis area. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and experience in facilities maintenance, ensuring that all equipment and systems are functioning efficiently. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Duties

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on various equipment and systems, including mechanical, electrical, and plumbing.
• Utilize tools such as an ohmmeter for troubleshooting electrical issues.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
• Supervise and lead maintenance projects, ensuring tasks are completed on time and to standard.
• Collaborate with other departments to address facility-related concerns and improve overall operations.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff and ensure customer service excellence.
• Conduct inspections of facilities and equipment to identify potential issues before they become major problems.
• Assist in the training of new maintenance staff as needed.

Requirements

• Proven experience in facilities maintenance or a related field.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot various systems.
• Familiarity with logic controllers is preferred.
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to supervise effectively.
• Strong customer service orientation with good communication skills in English.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• A valid driver’s license may be required for certain positions.
