Job Summary:
The Senior Consultant role for a PEGA Certified Lead System Architect involves leading multiple teams of developers, subject matter experts, and stakeholders to transform business requirements and processes into fully functional PEGA applications. This position requires strong technical expertise, mentoring capabilities, and experience in Agile environments to deliver scalable, secure, and efficient software solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor application development teams to ensure high-quality PEGA solutions.
- Gather and document business and system requirements by collaborating with end users and technical staff.
- Translate business requirements into technical designs, workflows, and use cases.
- Develop and engineer PEGA user interfaces, service tiers, data tiers, infrastructure, and security components.
- Establish standards, repeatable processes, and reusable components for PEGA development.
- Assist in project planning, resource leveling, and timeline development.
- Act as liaison between business architects and technical teams, facilitating communication and understanding.
- Identify and mitigate project risks proactively.
- Participate in Agile sprint planning, lead Agile teams, and define acceptance criteria.
- Design and build PEGA case types, workflows, data models, UI, integrations, and reusable components.
- Apply PEGA guardrails, standards, and performance best practices.
- Develop AI-enabled PEGA solutions using Generative AI, Process AI, and other advanced capabilities.
- Lead legacy application modernization and design secure, scalable integrations using APIs and microservices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy solutions on cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCP, and AWS Bedrock.
- Document requirements, test cases, training materials, and software release notes.
- Conduct client workshops and support customer success teams.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- PEGA Lead System Architect (LSA) Certification with a minimum of 5 years post-certification experience.
- At least 8 years of PEGA Senior System Architect (SSA) development experience.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in PEGA Smart BPM, PMF, and Direct Capture of Objectives (DCO).
- Strong proficiency in use case design and development.
- Experience with databases such as DB2 and SQL Server, including stored procedures.
- Minimum 12 years of relevant IT work experience.
- 4-year college degree or equivalent technical education.
- Strong knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodology.
- Hands-on experience with PEGA business process modeling, functional design, and software configuration.
- Proven ability to convert business requirements into PEGA process flows.
- Experience mentoring and leading technical teams.
- Strong web design and application development skills.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Experience with AI-enabled PEGA development, including Generative AI and Process AI.
- Knowledge of cloud deployment on AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, and AWS Bedrock.
- Experience in legacy application modernization initiatives.
- Familiarity with event-driven architecture, microservices, and API integrations.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.
Special Considerations:
- Position requires hybrid work with 2 days onsite and 3 days remote; this schedule is non-negotiable.
- Absences longer than two weeks must be approved in advance with contact information provided.
- Must be able to work closely with diverse teams, including non-technical stakeholders.
- Must comply with all client and agency policies regarding attendance and conduct.
Scheduling:
- Hybrid schedule: 2 days onsite at Trenton, NJ location and 3 days remote per week.
- Work duration from September 27, 2026, to March 27, 2027.
- In-person interviews required.
