Epic Beaker Consultant – AP & CP

Project: Epic Beaker Add‑On Implementation

Go‑Live Date: February 20, 2027

Positions:

• 1 × Epic Beaker Anatomic Pathology (AP)–Certified Consultant
• 1 × Epic Beaker Clinical Pathology (CP)–Certified Consultant

Role Overview

We are seeking two experienced Epic Beaker consultants to support a Beaker Add‑On implementation scheduled for a February 20, 2027 go‑live. The engagement requires one AP‑certified consultant and one CP‑certified consultant, each with strong implementation and add‑on experience.

These roles will partner closely with IT leadership, laboratory leadership, and laboratory SMEs to deliver workflow‑aligned Beaker build, testing, validation, and go‑live readiness. Between the two consultants, at least one must bring extensive Epic Beaker billing configuration experience .

Required Positions & Certifications

Epic Beaker AP Consultant (Required)

• Epic Beaker Anatomic Pathology (AP) Certification
• Experience supporting multiple Epic Beaker implementations
• Prior Beaker add‑on implementation experience
• Deep working knowledge of all core AP workflows , including:
• Histology
• Cytology
• Autopsy
• Bone Marrow

Epic Beaker CP Consultant (Required)

• Epic Beaker Clinical Pathology (CP) Certification
• Experience supporting multiple Epic Beaker implementations
• Prior Beaker add‑on implementation experience
• Strong expertise in Core Laboratory workflows , including:
• Chemistry
• Hematology / Coagulation
• Urinalysis
• Quality Control (QC)
• Rule build

Core Responsibilities (Both Roles)

• Support the design, build, validation, and optimization of Epic Beaker as part of an add‑on implementation
• Collaborate with IT and Laboratory leadership to align Beaker build with operational and clinical workflows
• Translate laboratory workflows into Epic Beaker configuration and recommendations
• Participate in:
• Build and configuration activities
• Unit and integrated testing
• Workflow validation
• Go‑live readiness and support planning
• Clearly communicate progress, risks, and dependencies to:
• IT leadership
• Laboratory leadership
• Subject Matter Experts (SMEs)
• Accept direction from both IT and Lab leadership within a structured implementation governance model

Billing Experience (Critical Requirement)

• Between the two consultants, at least one must have extensive Epic Beaker billing setup experience
• Experience may include, but is not limited to:
• Beaker billing configuration
• Workflow alignment between lab operations and billing
• Coordination with revenue cycle teams

Required Skills & Experience (Both Roles)

• Proven experience supporting Epic Beaker implementations and add‑ons
• Strong understanding of laboratory workflows and end‑to‑end lab operations
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multi‑stakeholder healthcare environment
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to operate effectively under project leadership while partnering directly with SMEs
