The Catering Coordinator plays a vital role in the venue with the responsibility to plan and execute catering operations according to company standards, provide excellent customer service and partner with the catering team to track and build future catering sales. This person must possess high organizational skills, great communication skills and be able to direct others to support the fulfillment of catering orders. The Catering Coordinator will work closely with the Catering Sales Manager and the Operations team.
Flucuating Schedules Include but are not limited to: 10am to 4pm on weekdays and 9am to 4pm on Weekends, with late nights and activations as required Seasonally or based on event needs.
• Executes the full-cycle fulfillment of catering orders from receipt through execution, payment, and delivery
• Organizes catering orders around production, delivery, and follow-up processes
• Partners with management to ensure appropriate products and resources are available to meet business demands
• Builds catering sales through customer follow-up calls and relationship building
• Performs data entry of catering customers into the centralized catering database
• Maintains a register for catering order payments in accordance with cash management policies
• Completes menu and bar signage as directed
• Assists with restaurant operations as needed
• At least two years of hospitality experience
• Customer service experience in a catering service environment
• Exhibits a high level of professionalism with excellent oral and written communication skills
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
• Hospitality career focus is a plus; must be driven, self-motivated, and dedicated
• Demonstrates enthusiasm and commitment to Member/Guest satisfaction
• Computer knowledge required, including Microsoft Office, Excel, POS systems, or catering programs
• Knowledge of preparing invoices and filing systems is a plus
Physical Requirements:
• Must have the stamina and ability to work 50 to 60 hours per week
• Must be able to occasionally work more than 60 hours during staffing shortages
• Must be able to spend 90% of working time standing
• Must be able to spend 10% of working time sitting
• Must be able to use sensory capabilities including vision, hearing, tasting, smelling, touching, and speaking
• Must be able to perform physical activities including walking, bending, kneeling, reaching, squatting, crawling, lifting, climbing, and stooping
• Must be able to carry more than 35 pounds and regularly transport up to 70 pounds
• Must be able to communicate clearly with Guests in English
• Must have reliable transportation to meet delivery and marketing requirements
