RN - Cardiac Cath Lab
Location: Baytown, TX
Pay Rate: Starting at $57.00/hour (based on experience)
Schedule: Monday-Friday | 7:30 AM - 5:30 PM
On-Call: Required (must be within 30 minutes of the facility)
Dean's Professional Services is seeking an experienced Cardiac Cath Lab RN to join a high-acuity cardiovascular team in Houston, Texas . This onsite role offers competitive pay, weekday scheduling with on-call rotation, and the opportunity to work in a fast-paced interventional environment supporting advanced cardiac procedures.
Responsibilities
* Provide direct nursing care during cardiac catheterization, interventional cardiology, and electrophysiology procedures
* Monitor hemodynamic status, cardiac rhythms, and patient response throughout procedures
* Scrub, circulate, and monitor during cases as assigned
* Assist with advanced cardiac devices and procedures, including IABP, Impella, IVUS, and OCT
* Administer medications, moderate sedation, and emergency interventions per protocol
* Maintain accurate and timely documentation within EPIC and Mac-Lab systems
* Respond to emergent situations and participate in on-call coverage
* Educate patients and families regarding procedures, recovery, and post-care instructions
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, efficient patient throughput
* Precept and support less experienced staff as needed
* Maintain compliance with hospital policies, regulatory standards, and quality initiatives
Qualifications
* Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Texas
* 2-3 years of recent Cardiac Cath Lab experience (required)
* Strong proficiency in cardiac rhythm interpretation
* Experience with EPIC and Mac-Lab systems
* Hands-on experience with IABP, Impella, IVUS, and OCT
* BLS and ACLS certifications (required)
* Ability to take on-call shifts and arrive within 30 minutes of the facility
